Diana Bialus

Senior consultant on development finance

Diana Bialus has worked over the last 7 years in the field of development finance, as a Consultant with ShoreBank International, cooperating with various institutions ranging from small MFIs to large banks. During this time she supported over 20 financial institutions in 10 countries in Europe, Central Asia and Africa in a wide range of areas including SME lending strategy, micro and SME credit process improvement, credit scoring for micro and small loans, client segmentation and product development. Ms. Bialus was also responsible for institutional assessments and project management.

Earlier, she worked on the USAID-funded Microfinance Coalition Project in Romania, thus gaining an in-depth knowledge of the microfinance sector in Romania. Her professional experience includes collaboration on EU funded projects aimed at the development of the MSME and microfinance sector in Romania.

Ms. Bialus holds a Master Degree in Financial Management from the European Academic Centre in Nancy, France and a BA in International Business from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania. She is fluent in Romanian, English and French.
